Ive tried to do some research on fur trapping here in northwest Fl, but couldnt find a lot of info. I do think it says that steel traps are illegal. My question is if any of you trap down here is what traps can you use (Leg holds, live, snares, etc.)

Snares or live cage traps only. No conibear or leg hold. No dog proofs etc. I only use snares. Best place is the snare shop online.

Seems odd snares are legal and steel traps are not. At least a leg hold you have the option of turning something loose

I don't make them but those are the rules. Snares and live cage only. Glad I read law and bought snares instead of steel traps.

You can get nuisance permits for leg hold traps. Easy to get and I’ve never heard of them turning anyone down. Just got to go thru the process.

take your kids hunting and you won't be hunting your kids
