Emmys host Michael Che says the only white people who thank Jesus at award shows are Republicans, 'ex-crackheads'

The 70th Annual Emmy Awards kicked off with a slew of political jokes and jabs as expected.
But one remark from co-host Michael Che left many viewers upset.
During Che's opening monologue with his fellow "Saturday Night Live" star Colin Jost, Che explained that his mother would not be watching the show on Monday night.
"My mother is not watching," Che said. "She says she doesn’t like watching white award shows because you guys don’t thank Jesus enough."
He continued, "That’s true. The only white people that thank Jesus are Republicans and ex-crackheads."

I don't know why any one would watch an award show any how. I mean they are literally giving out awards for pretending . I thank jesus for everything every day. They would hate me

He would reside in New York City, NY. Born and raised there also I believe. Not Hollywood.

I do not find him funny at all, wish he would go away. I do think his co-host Colin Jost is very funny, and is dating Scarlet Johannson, who is hot.

Joacquin Bottom, chose to drop the last name Bottom because it sounds really gay. Went with Phoenix because it sounds cool

Nick Coppola, changed it to Cage so people would t think he was related to director of The Godfather series

Kathryn Hudson, decided to go by Katie Perry, to avoid confusion with actoress Kate Hudson.

Cock burn is a terrible name, I'll give you that.

Jennifer goes by Anniston because her Grandfather made the changes to her Fathers Name.

Remnick appears to be the editor. I wouldn’t say he owns it, appears a publication company called Advance owns it, along with Discovery Channel and part of Charter Communications and other things
