I started tinkering a tearing things apart to fix them when I was young. I've just always enjoyed the satisfaction of being able to.

Elmers wood glue is awesome on wood and any carpenter know's it but I've also learned that it works great with Porcelain and other small trinkets and what knots that folks accidentally knock over and want to save.

Locktite makes a super glue gel that I used everyday in the Laptop repair business on plastic housings that where to expensive to replace. I would always tell the owner what it would cost to replace or try to repair and warranty the work and never had one returned.

Gorilla Tape is great stuff. My wife and I repaired an old pop up camper that had deteriorating canvas seems with that and by adding 3m spray adhesive. It worked great and we used the camper for a couple years and sold it for profit after being open and honest with the buyer about the repairs.

Ya'll chime in with your ideas for things that you have had success with and please don't derail this thread. I will move it to the useful information sub after folks see it here and contribute.

Duct tape, WD40, zip ties and a hammer.
That's all I need to fix just about anything.

3m makes the best Duck tape the only difference in that and the Gorrila tape is that it's heavier. I don't know how we went to the moon without Zip ties. That's a good one. I still keep bailing wire in the truck but use those way more.

Kroil&shooters choice mc7 cleans crud outta most bores. Except .30-30's that have winchester powermax shot through leaves a brown smelly skidmark that requires extra scrubbing.

I keep a roll of .038 stainless steel lashing wire handy. Cable ties too. Both from telecom industry.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I lost a good pair of Needle nose Vice grips years ago. I found them on the hallway toilet valve used as the handle. Forget how Genius I could be half drunk with a running toilet that kept me from sleeping.

I used to keep a Crescent wrench for years until I realized all that did was round it off and delay the time until I had to get out the Channel Locks and Vice grips.

2dogs reminded me a small pair of Channel locks is better than a Swiss Army knife and I keep both.

PL400 Premium. The premium is important. I built a luan boat with it, stich and glue method. Its still holding strong. Stuff is unbelievable.

I like gorilla glue and their tape too.

Agree with zipties. Keep a bag of 11" all the time.

DAP kwik seal caulk is the best there is. Don’t waste your time with any others. Works great as an adhesive on minor repairs also.

This isn't an adhesive but, the absolute handiest thing to have around is a 20k ft roll of poly baling twine. Put it in a box about the same size as the roll, put a hole in top and feed the string through, then tape the box shut. Keep it in the toolbox on your truck.
