I have a Moultrie 999-I I think it is. It’s hooked up to a modem and since yesterday afternoon I have been getting nothing but blurry pics. I thought that it may be a wet lense or something may have blocked it. This morning I get more pictures but you can’t see anything. It now looks like Smokey or foggy with no clarity. Anyone have any issues like this?

I’ve never had any issues with Moultrie cams other than the occasional phantom bright pictures. The camera isn’t pointed towards the sun or anything.

I will tell you what worked for me once with a different type model. Go to Wal Mart and go back to the cleaning supplies. They have a product (I can't remember what it's called) but it's a small cup of crystals that removes odor and sucks up moisture. I had the same thing going on and the camera had moisture in it. I put the camera in a box, tore the plastic off the top of the crystal odor/moisture remover and let it sit for a week. Came back and the crystal cup was about a 1/4 fill of water and the crystals were gone. Camera worked perfectly after that.

Of course your focus may be busted internally as well, but for $2 the moisture remover thing is worth a shot.

I’ll give that a try. You can use rice in a ziplock bag and it’ll take out moisture too. Used it one time on a cell phone. Worked like a charm.

it's called Desiccant. It is still found in some prescription bottles. You need to place some inside your camera to prevent this from reoccurring. I had it in all 10 of my cameras.

Moisture was exactly what it was. I’ve watched it clear up throughout the day. So just put that stuff inside the control panel of the camera?

The stuff perch was talking about are those little silicone packs you get in electronics packages that have "Do not eat" on them. The DampRid product that I mentioned and Outback clarified comes in a little cup like a cup of ramen noodles. You just peel off the plastic and put the camera and the cup in a box and let it work it's magic for a couple of days. It will suck the water right out of that camera.

BD I put several packets in each camera. They more or less draw the moisture. They provide a wicking effect. They are more as a preventative. The stuff Bc suggested is for after the water is already affecting your camera. I got my depth finder wet and poured rice in it . That saved it, but a pain to do.
Good luck

Figured out what’d happened...
There was a spider web on it and the moisture was sticking to that.
