Decided since I only have a few trips left before Deer season shuts me down that I would go hunting after work this morning. We got to the club about 8:30am and made the first turn out at 8:50am. Harley (11 months old) got on one and put him across to Mr. Danny’s side of the river but didn’t cross with him thank god. Made the second turn out and Kate and Sadie bayed a pretty spotted boar in his bed at 278yards. Made two more quick turn outs on the way back to the truck but didn’t get on anything so we called it quits. I got home in time for 1 hr and 45 minutes worth of sleep and back to work for 12 hours. Sometimes I question why I continue to do stupid things like this but I guess it’s fun while it lasts.

Been shooting a lot of black and white hogs lately.

I haven't caught many colored hogs this year but i have put the hurting on sows. I have caught 3 to 1 sows to boars this year.

That is an awesome ratio. I am having my worst year on the sex ratio. We are a -25 on females. I have one property in Wilcox County that is just blowing my mind. I have killed 87 on it night hunting and I am a -25 on that property alone. There was a point this summer that I went 23 males to 1 female on that property. No clue why, just couldn't find a female on hog on the place. LOL Just seemed like the place was covered with mature males.

Our club has been wrapped up with young sows. I have only caught a handful of good boars and a couple big sows but the majority has been sows under 100lbs.

We have properties all over the county. My hunting club is in Wilcox so I work that area hard. What part of the county is your club located?

No, Charlie lived in Stuart Fl , had a house at Hells Point on the St. Lucie River a mile er so from the Atlantic. He was a fishing fool and dang good at it. I caught two big 30 pound plus permit on the Keys flats fishing with him on day.
