We are going to be in PCB. next month 7th.-9th. I would like to go fishing I just can't afford to charter a whole boat, if anyone knows some Captains down there that I could check with to see if they have any openings I would appreciate the info.

Capt Anderson has a 5 hour, 10hour, and 12 hour, head boat trip. Pretty reasonable.

Get to Captain Anderson’s in the afternoon when they are cleaning up from the trip and check with a captain to see if he has any openings in the morning. Or you can get there at 5am and see if any groups going out need some spots to fill. More than likely someone had a rough night before, slept late or just didn’t show up. It’s happened to me when I’ve gotten trips up many times. Just don’t get on a boat with bananas.

Bring your own gear and go to Russell Pier by Pier park. They have a bait and tackle shop there. I went there this summer. The wife dropped me off while shopping .Cost $7.00 to fish plus what ever bait you buy. I was skeptical about it but had a blast catching Pompano on the shallow end of the pier and mackerel and other fish at night at the middle of the pier.

Im planning on taking my aluminum bass boat and going out to the grass flats at tyndal air force base, when we go the first of october. We did that last october and caught about 100 specks in one morning. I was about tired of catching fish by the time we were done. Been known to catch some big reds out there too.

The water is a little muddy right now, but they are catching a few kings, spanish, and mangrove snapper. If the water clears up, the kings should show up in good numbers. I'm waiting on the sailfish. Hopefully only a few more weeks. They are doing pretty well on the slot reds in the shallow water.

I tried to take my son and one of his friends out for AJs Saturday but the water was too rough. We had filled the livewell with hand sized pinfish so instead of throwing them out we anchored up next to the jetty at the park and wore out some bull reds.
Later in the year will be even better.
