I have always used a bag spreader to do fields from a quarter acre to 10 acres when seeding. Due to recent leg injury, I am thinking of getting a spreader for the 4 wheeler to put out seed and small quantities of fertilizer. I asked on here for Sprayer recommendations and have be very pleased with the one I picked, so wanted to see what everyone suggested. Thanks in advance.

We've been using this spreader for at least 8 years. If the motor ever craps out you can replace it with a $20 feeder motor from Academy. It's been solid and slung a lot of seed. We mount it on the front so you can seed the pattern. moultrie

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Bambam, have y'all put any fertilizer through it? Make sure you wash it good after running fertilizer through it. Nitrogen is very corrosive.

I keep it mounted to the front of the ATV and the sprayer on the back. I've had it 12 years or so and it still works fine, but it's always had issues. You pull a lever to expose 2 round holes in the bottom to let the seed fall, but they were not cut equally. One side always puts out more than the other. I've whittled on it and improved it, but the sides will never match perfectly. It's good for slinging out wheat, but it's hard to get it accurate enough for small seed like clover. I use it anyway; sure beats doing it by hand. It works by gravity only; there is no agitator so it can be frustrating putting out fertilizer. One clump can lock it up, so I have to screen fertilizer. This is not my main planting system, but it works ok for putting out a few bags of wheat or something.
All the labor of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.

I got mine put together and mounted on the front of my 4 wheeler, I think it will cut down on seed spreading time,
