And fished a night tournament on holt lake and won it. Had 12.20 and I think second had 10.50. Would have had big fish with a 4lb spot but another boat brought in 5lb head. If I could ever learn to night fish I'd be dangerous I caught everything I had between 6pm blast off and dark

Take your kids hunting instead of hunting your kids.

I'd rather be LOST in the woods than FOUND in the city.

Good job, congrats! I would like to learn more about night fishing myself.

I've always felt the night bite doesn't turn on till a good couple of hours after dark, like say 10 till midnight. Lots of the derbys we fished were from like 5:30 till 9:00, better have your fish before dark.

I'm sure they do but this is the first one I've fished in years. I never was worth a damn at night fishing

Its like they go thru a transition. It never has gotten good for me till later either. Most clubs around Houston used to fish two night tournaments during the summer. It's too danged hot to fish day tournaments. If I couldn't find fish after dark, I'd get a blk 1/2 oz buzzbait and start running weedlines and banks.

I catch em right at dark even right at dusk on night time baits and places. I love tournaments that go til 10 cause I have enough time to catch a limit after dark.
