When you put up shooting houses in the swamp you can use crisote light poles and it will double as a hog rub. Lol. The hogs have definitely took to this one.

I've had powerlines pushed into the tree tops from hogs wallowing around the poles.
The more creosote the better, it's like bait to them.

Any animal that can eat corn soaked in diesel fuel and rub on a creosote pole is damn near indestructible.

Seems like a good way to have a hog-killing spot: sink a creosote pole into the ground in concrete within range of your stand.

It is a helpful tool if you are trying to keep them coming around an certain area but it’s not something that I would hunt over with out having a food source close by. I have put cameras on wallows and rubs and from my experience they aren’t used on a very consistent basis. It seems to me that they are used more during the summer when ticks and flies are so bad but still not really consistent
