Maybe he was there with a friend.
Maybe he was meeting a girl there.
Maybe he wanted to work out in peace and not under the eye of the coaching staff.
Maybe he had exceeded his off season limit of on campus strength and conditioning hours (which I believe is 8 hours a week).
Who knows. Last time I checked though it's still a free country and the kid can go work out anywhere he wants.
