We have a solid Korean place here in Huntsvegas that I'd never been to until a few weeks ago, and it's damned good.

Any good places in Birmingham? And I'm not talking about China 1 in the strip mall with a "good lunch buffet." I'm talking about genuine Korean food.

There used to be one years ago on Southside. But, I don't know if there is one now.

It's on Patton Road in the strip mall with the International Market, a laundromat and a nails-massage place, next to the shuttered Mexican restaurant.

This one is very good....and a little on the pricey side.

Guess if they're busy it would be a Seoul train, too.

$250 for a steak at Peter Luger's is pricey but I'd pay that, too. A Korean place in B'ham ain't going to be pricey.

This is the only one I’ve been to. It’s off Valleydale near where it intersects 280. The one time I went it was pretty good.

Red Bowl (not to be confused with Red Pearl) used to do dim sum and had a Korean menu, but it closed.

Seoul is a hole in the wall but the food ain't bad. Been a minute since I have ate there.

The old guy who did the cooking looked like the guy from gremlins. You could probably get a deep fried Mogwi if you ask.

Try the Thai food place in the gas station on lorna it's better.

Waldo, tell me about the Thai place on Lorna. Where is it and what's good?

Another decent Thai place is Surin (couple locations - 280, southside, etc.). My favorite dish is Nam Tok beef and I get it every time. Pretty good stuff.
