I tried something new last Monday night. I have a farmer in Lowndes County with a large standing Silage field. To say it was planted thick would be an understatement. You can't see more than 10 yards hardly anywhere. I eased around the edges listening and getting down on my knees and looking in. I had some REAL close shots and ended the night with 17 kills. I also possibly killed my largest hog ever but I won't know for sure. No way to weight him. My longest shot of the night was in the 12-15 yard range. It got hairy a time or three.

Find a way to weigh him. My biggest one topped out a 300# scale and I never got an actual weight. I've always regretted that. Wish I had gotten an accurate weight.

The farmer came in with a tractor with a bucket on it. I tied a rope to him and honestly could not move him. He was a stud.

Surely you took a picture of it!
The true mark of a man is not how he conducts himself during times of prosperity, but how he conducts himself during times of adversity.

That's a fine haul. The pictures can't do justice. I typically guess too light. Pigs always fool me. I can usually guess a deer weight real close but pigs are always heavier than I guess.

You wore em out, what is your yearly total up to now?
If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.
