Head coaches know everything. They're like US Senators, with underlings and buffers and protectors and handlers.
But nothing gets done, approved, planned or anything without the top guy knowing and signing off on it. Ever. Anyone who says otherwise isn't thinking clearly.
Urbs knew all this about the assistant and did nothing, and lied publicly about it, and even tried to be flippant with the "who makes this up" bullchit.

Supposively negotiating buyout. My question is if all the wives of coaches knew of abuse how can you promote or allow any of them to be interim coaches??? Someone has to be the fall guy. That’s all they care about.

If he knew and didn't report it, then he was in violation of Title IX laws and can be fired with cause. I'm assuming that being fire for a just cause could terminate any potential buy-out.
