I take that week every year. Love smokepole hunting!

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I will be too. Although they placed a "special opportunity " hunt the weekend before last year at my usual place. It's my me time though and the only week I hunt with a rifle so it's all good. TC and roundball here as well.

Me to, this year may be different due to new job but I will hunt as much of it as I can! I hunt a small suburban farm with a smokepole all season.

I take that entire week off every year to hunt with the ML.

Love it.

it's usually hot but it may be the best week of the year to sit in the stand and hunt unmolested deer....

I hunt well into season with my ML at least until the rut starts. I think theyre just as deadly out to 200 yds for me as any rifle. shooting hogs with them is fun too

I love my flintlock 45cal TN poor boy . It is a tack driver with a .445 rd ball and pillow ticking patch. I shot a doe with it and she didn’t move at 70 yards

I quit. Sold my stuff. Said I wasn’t going to fool with it no more. Couldn’t stand it. Got a CVA Wolf today. Camo and stainless.

Are y'all hunting food plots or the woods? This will be my first Muzzleloader season, I was going to hunt like I would bow hunt, but if the food plots have come up nicely I may try that.
Thanks

I still cant figure out why there is a ML week, youth weekend, bow season. Just open it all the same day and everybody hunt as they please. Seems like some level of unequal treatment for the rifle hunter.

I bought a muzzleloader for Illinois this year but I doubt I will use it during ML week in Alabama unless I have a really good buck on camera during daytime.

Encore 209x50. Blackhorn 209. 250gr. Shockwave. Shoots like a rifle I can kill one at 200 yds. no problem at all.

It will blow the undercarriage outa one. Most have been dead in sight of where they were hit.

No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

Besides the rut it’s my favorite time of the year to hunt. The leaves are maxed out and starting to fall which makes slipping around easier.

Dang if this CVA Wolf ain’t just about become my favorite rifle. Great trigger. I’m going to hunt with it a lot during regular gun season.

I hunted with my old Remington 700ML when it was all I had to deer hunt with. It's so accurate that it's hard for me to believe.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.
