Should be several places within a couple hours of your house where you can shoot pen raised quail and chuckars and what not. If you wanted to make it a bigger event you could carry him down to one of the nicer plantations in south Alabama or Georgia. Most of them also have skeet shooting and a good bass pond to go along with the hunting.

I went out to Crumpton Quail farm in Columbiana twice last year and had an absolute blast. A little far from you but they're super reasonable on pricing.

Check out the youth dove hunts the state puts on. Me and my boy made some awesome memories on those.

Dr. B Don't even get me started on that bs Well I don't know how it is now but 12-15 years ago, it was fun. We always went to Draper in Elmore county. I guess the state will figure out a way to screw up a good thing. Dr. B

I went to a couple good ones last year and I didn't pay but about $25. I'm cheap and don't need hotdogs made for me for a big price. Only problem is I don't remember who I contacted about those shoots to see if they are on this year.

I'm of similar mind. I'm not paying $300 for 3 people for half a day.
