Is it just me, or does it bug the chit outta ya'll the way so many people and organizations disgrace our American Flag these days by altering the colors for their "cause"? Prime example is the grayed out flag with the blue line or red line to symbolize police or fire fighters?

This is a DISGRACE to our flag and SHOULD NOT BE DONE.

PERIOD.

I wear a camouflage hat that has an olive green American flag on it.

Many military units will wear a subdued version in either grays or greens to blend with their uniforms. This is most acceptable in regards to flag etiquette.

Maybe it's just me, but I think everything else should not be done!

What bugs me .......buying an America flag made in China.

Talkin bout flags my buddy had his American and confederate flag stolen this week at his gate to his property he put up new ones with a number 2 trap and sivler dollar in front of his pole lol

What really burns me is to see someone proudly flying a Messican, or other foreign flag here in the US. Your proud of your heritage and wanna fly a Mexican flag? That's good. Go fly it it Tijuana.

I'm OK with with police departments muting colors with the thin blue line and tastefully done ones like on the damn good looking truck above.

Personally, I fly the flag 365 days a year in front of my home and replace it a couple times a year to keep it looking sharp.

Edit: I also have an all green one in my den off of my son's military uniform. My two cents is messing with our beautiful and proud flag is a touchy subject and best be done for the right reasons.

I like many others fly a flag at the house. I have a spotlight that shines on it at night. If it starts to look it's age then it goes to the local VFW and is disposed of properly. I'm as patriotic as they come and I'm very passionate about it. If I every catch someone stomping or burning a flag then the rage in me will over come any sort of sanity and all hell with break loose.

But the thin blue line or fire fighters flag doesn't bother me. Neither does swimsuits, beach chairs or those sort of things you see printed in stars and stripes. But the flag better not used for a patch on the ass of your jeans. Now that's disrespectful! Which was common during the hippie days of the sixties.

Besides the camo hat I also wear the majority of the time a Columbia PFG hat that has the flag on it but the red stripes are replaced by pelagic fish species. I get a lot of compliments on it and it's by far my favorite hat to wear.

The confederate flag was born on this soil.

There is no comparison in the two. The Confederate States of America was a sovereign nation and at that time had the constitutional right to be one and succeed from the union.
