Don't understand why a decent human would live there

We were there in spring 2017 house-sitting for friends who live north of the Bay. Wife and I went into the city twice, once one evening to eat and walk around down around the wharf. Another to visit Chinatown. We stayned north of the bay visiting the coast and wine towns the rest of the time.

I never want to return to San Francisco. I love traveling, love seeing new things and visiting places. That place is a hellhole, though, and a Third World crisis waiting to happen. The homeless situation combined with the liberal mentality is wreaking havoc on them. If they have an earthquake that significantly impacts the city's infrastructure - power, water, sewage, road/rail - it will devolve into chaos. Not as bad as New Orleans and Katrina, but it would still be chaos.

And the problem is the SF residents there obviously don't care. They keep electing civic leaders who can't or won't do anything. They invite and welcome the homeless and illegal aliens, and then tell everyone who says they're going to have problems that they're heartless racists. This is what they get.

North of the Bay, BTW, is crowded but nice. Get about an hour or 90 minutes north into wine country or along the coast and it's great.

Wife and I have a dear friend that lives in Santa Cruz. Neat town, but you can have it.

It's a beautiful state with many great Americans. it is however a gathering point for loons in most big cities there. The sane people are fleeing before it gets any worse.

They actually spend 280million on the homeless and only have 7500 homeless people thats $38,000 per person that they spend. Thats more than some people that work for a living earn. and she says she doesnt want to raise the penalty on the homeless for it instead she scolded the outreach programs for not teaching them to clean up after themselves? She sounds real smart there homeless for a reason. She should offer some of them a job cleaning up sh!t for 38,000 a year instead of throwing it away.

Seattle isn't any place I would want to visit either.

Boy, those democrats, and their social programs are REALLY doing wonders out there, huh??

Last I checked, Seattle was the fastest growing metropolitan area in the country. Place is booming.

Not that I would want to live there or SF, but a lot of the places we could never live in are not the hell holes some would have you believe. Denver Colorado is another area which is exploding with new construction despite all of the potheads making it a terrible place to live.

Seatte, Portland and SF are clear examples of how their liberal, save-the-world, progressve agendas are ruining their cities. Portland is the same with the homeless affecting their downtown area. I have friends who work in Portland and they say it's horrible, yet the company they work for won't move.

Wonder how that's going to work out for them, then. Probably at least as successful as declaring themselves a "sanctuary city" has been.

Once somebody starts shamelessly pooping on public sidewalks, there’s not too much you can do to change their ways. Or at least, explain the importance of a clean community. Too far gone at that point.

Have a relative who lives there in a very high rent fancy high rise building. He says he can look down out of his window and see robberies and people crapping in the street.. And this is in a nice part of town.
