Got a couple with good mass that look like 4 year olds. Got those deep chests and once rutted up I think will have huge necks on them. May have to break out the 30-06 to bring them down.

Ours all died from the gly we been spraying on our place. Guess we're gonna have to find us anther place to screw up uh I mean hunt.

No sheds found yet, but I did see some old scrapes and rubs, had to be from a PBT. Found a good set up downwind for next season. It can't be too far from where he is roosted.

This thread seems like a good place to post that I flushed 2 quail yesterday. It was astounding.

This thread seems like a good place to post that I flushed 2 quail yesterday. It was astounding.
Man I miss quail hunting in Alabama with my granddad back in the 70.s, early 80's. I think days spent flushing 7-8 coveys of birds with 10-15 in it are long gone. Sad.

Still finding fresh rubs. They need to extend the season. Toms seem to be rutting later in the southern part of the state.

Of all the critters to still be holdin on in the desolant corners of marshall co....i can kick up a covey or 2 purty regular up around mamas...aint a dang turkey in sight tho....figures.
