Some automotive design engineer ought to make one of those buttons on the steering well a toggle for mic on/mic off. (why isn't this a thing already??)
Doesn't seem real safe during a high speed pursuit for the officer to continually take a hand off the wheel to key his mic on his shoulder epaulet.

Saw posted on another forum, that the patrol cars like the one he was driving actually has that capability, it just depends on the individual department's equipment as to whether or not they can utilize it.

A simple button attached to the steering wheel ( like Nascar) would work as well.. That is the way a lot of these situations should end. Bad guys dead, no good guys harmed.

This is another pretty wild clip. The noise and concussion of an AR15 in a vehicle would be ungodly.

At 'shots fired' the suspect is a dead man. No other outcome is acceptable. Anything less is starting a precedent of lenience. Screw that.

Most folks can qualify to shoot a weapon. Few can qualify as expert. I don't think the shooter was an expert, at least under those conditions.

Wow, that was some skill right there! He's very fortunate, that the driver didn't come out shooting though or he would've been in trouble.

It seemed to me that the officer was spraying a lot of bullets hoping he would get a hit. There were a lot of innocent people that could have been hit, I don't have a problem with him getting shot, but the officer was a bit careless.

If I drove around wildly spraying rounds, from a moving vehicle, they'd put me in prison.
That cop was just as reckless and negligent. He should no longer have that job at a minimum.

Seems like having the unit's changing location be tracked by GPS would be handy too. Perhaps just engage that feature with a push of a button when in pursuit.

This! Officer is fortunate he did not get hurt and that he did not hurt any other people in the rd. Glad he fot the bad guy though!
