I got approved for containerized shortleaf Pines this year. The couple guys that I know plant around here arnt having any luck getting any order , just on waiting list. I was wondering if anyone could help me out on who else to ask or where to look ? Thought maybe nighthunter could?

White City Nursery is where I get my trees. Long trip for you though. I think most people in central Alabama get theirs there. At least I see people from Demopolis to Valley there getting trailer loads.

Mike Black, the director of the short leaf initiative said any of the nurseries on list should be fine but specifically mentioned International Forest Company in GA.

Wildlife habitat improvement. Shortleaf handles fire early and often. It will resprout from rootstock. It’s a new movement similar to the long leaf initiative 15-20 years ago.
