Ive leased from Weyerhaeuser for 5 years, They are a no hassel company to deal with. Pay your lease and you’ll never hear a word from them. Westervelt is another large timber company in West and Central Alabama, stay away from these guys, they will drive you nuts with their regulations. They require jaw bones from every kill be turned in and every kill from their property logged. These guys will kill you with all their requirements.

Hudson should be easy to deal with,I'd think you'd pay the lease and do as you please with it,I think most of his stuff would be smaller tracts And he will sell it to you if you wish to buy.

On the Westervelt stuff, property management and accurate deer management initiatives are highly overrated and certainly not required or needed anywhere in Alabama.

We had a lease for 3 years with Hudson. Only time we ever saw him was when had a dozer making some roads on the place. He was there for maybe an hour and never saw him again. Only rules we had was no nails in the trees and stands 150' from property line. Real easy to deal with.
It's hard to kiss the lips at night that chews your a$$ all day long.
