Buck Ford, mine was probably the first shot of the day. I could hear him walking fast straight up the mountain, but couldn't see him. I was scanning thru my binos and finally spotted him on the bench just below me. I think he spotted me about the same time too, he was looking straight at me. He was only about 65 yards away and I was sitting on the ground. I watched him for about 10 minutes before I could see enough to shoot. He stood in the same place the entire time, just barely moving his ears. He knew he had seen something move but couldn't quite make me out. When he finally had enough and turned to slip back off the mountain, I shot him.

The deer are just working their way up to the overgrown clearcut. I got lucky and caught him running late.
