Does anyone besides me think they are fools for hiring Jimbo. I have no clue why anyone would expect him to be a great coach. I think FSU got an awesome deal getting rid of Jimbo without having to fire and got a better coach in the process. A and M gonna need about 3 seasons before they realize their coach is very average.

Remember when Jimbo sat in the predominantly weak ACC and railed on about the myth of the SEC being the best and toughest conference? He's about to learn all about that so called myth.

He's got his old buddy Dabo coming to college station and he will have to face them with a weaker team than he had in Tallahassee. Then he has to go to Tuscaloosa in week 4. He's likely to be 2-2 in September and it won't get any easier after that.

Jimbo like many coaches had a superstar QB that launched him. Jimbo had crab legs, and Willie Taggart had Quinton Flowers at USF. Remove that one player they are average if not below average.

He’s the same coach that’s Sumlin was- great QB got him fame but now that QB is gone.

I actually like Sumlin. I'll be following what he does at Arizona and be pulling for him.

He’s slightly better than Malzahn but not as good as Muschamp or Mullen. SEC West is pretty weak outside of Bama though, and Auburn for a 2-3 game stretch every year

He will have everything he needs to be successful at aTm. If he’s not there I doubt he will be at any other program. A and M is a sleeping giant waiting for the right coach that can put it all together. It’s the second best job in the conference.

You weren't mistaken..... I thought A&M won that game but they didn't. That was the game the Gators held them scoreless in the second half and won 20-17. My memory is slipping in my old age.
