but I'm already starting to get those first little twinges of an itch to get back in a tree. June's almost over, it'll be here before you know it.

Shoot yea. We cruised the side by side around a new property last weekend and it's gave me an itch. I printed out some property maps yesterday. I'd like to walk some of it out, but I'll just wait to do that.

It's killing me. Broke out the summit this morning and climbed up a tree just to sit in it. Felt good to get back in the saddle.

You have deer hunters and then you have people who like to hunt deer. Snake chaps, cooler full of gatorades, and tick spray. Been cutting shooting lanes and scouting ever since the end of last season.

I don't ever loose the itch. I picked up a new place a couple of weeks ago and spent the better part of the day last Saturday on it walking and riding the trails. According to ONX I clocked almost 10 miles. I can't wait till Turkey season.

There are a bunch of killers on here that aren't out stomping thru the woods right now

I've been too busy planting stuff since turkey season ended to think about killing anything. Planted 2+
acres of chufas today, one more chufa field to go and I'm done. It was plenty hot by 9am today

My son and his friends are all fired up about going to an Airsoft Battlefield today.
I dread just sitting outside. I don't know how they do it.
I despise summer.

To each their own but there is no way I would be scouting for deer season right now. I’ll put some cameras out in late August/ early September and then out boots on the ground a couple of weeks before bow season comes in.

My son's birthday is near the end of September. For several years in a row we'd have a bunch of his friends for a paintball party at Redrock's. I was always right there with them.

I hunt public land so there's not a lot to get ready. I have more spots scouted already than I can hunt. I will probably wait for the next rainy Saturday morning to go do a little limb trimming but that's about it, may have to clean up some paths from summer growth, nothing major.

I wont even get my boat out to fish on my off days. Its miserable out there. I finally took the boy out to the creek to fish by our house. After 2hrs i was dying and we left

You ain't kidding. My youngest and I took 10 stands off my old Bullock county lease on Saturday which took all day. I was about dead by the time we were done. When is fall coming?

I'm gonna be that guy and say that I love summertime. I hate being cold, most things don't grow well in the winter and the fishing is not as good. That said, first cool spell in late Sept/Oct will put a spring in my step!

I use to hate winter when i was growing up. Now i love winter and hate the heat!!!!

I should follow my own advice. Decided to take a hike in the woods today just sorta half way looking for sheds and mostly for the exercise since the gym is closed today. Walked about 1.5 miles before deciding my original planned route wasn't going to happen and turned back. Man I was glad to get back to the house. Scale said I dropped a little over 4 lbs but of course it was all water and will come right back. If I do that again before October it will have to be at first light or not at all.

I wish I had your attitude about summer. I hate the heat. Physically, I'm built for lovin' and cool (not cold) weather. When my man junk gets wet from sweat, which usually happens by 6 a.m., makes for a long day. I have to be out of the sun by 9-10 a.m. Longer than that takes me a couple of days to bounce back now with my age.
