Summer time in this state is a scourge from hell. Try east Texas or south Louisiana. It's worse. Fort Polk, LA........ Hell on Earth during summertime.

Ft. Hood, TX.... If I had to chose between there and hell, I'd rent that place out and live in hell.
Yeah, well, I always heard there were three kinds of suns in Kansas: sunshine, sunflowers, and sons-of-bitches.

I'm gonna be that guy and say that I love summertime. I hate being cold, most things don't grow well in the winter and the fishing is not as good. That said, first cool spell in late Sept/Oct will put a spring in my step! I'm with you. I'd rather have the summer than winter, although I don't mind the winter.

Evidently y'all don't get outside much.

That said, first cool spell in late Sept/Oct will put a spring in my step! I wish I had your attitude about summer. I hate the heat. Physically, I'm built for lovin' and cool (not cold) weather. When my man junk gets wet from sweat, which usually happens by 6 a.m., makes for a long day. I have to be out of the sun by 9-10 a.m. Longer than that takes me a couple of days to bounce back now with my age.

Spend $20 and go get a long sleeved button up fishing shirt from academy in a light color and wear a under shirt. A lot cooler than a short sleeved T-shirt
Give me bout 15 more minutes, I was dreamin about beavers.......... Si Robertson
