I love me some fresh vegetables and beans but sometimes work keeps me from such.
In that case I have to turn to the canned goods aisle.
Margaret Holmes, Old Glory and Lucks are my go to.
Skillet Corn, Buttered Corn, Pintos and Butter Beans are pretty solid.
Those Bushs Southern Style White Beans are crap. Just put some liquid smoke in them and charge extra.

Anything else I need to look at to maintain my girlish figure here during bathing suit season?

All jokes aside it's cheaper to buy some of the veggies vs growing them. The frozen corn in the sausage looking tubes is awesome. Frozen Lima beans, frozen peas, frozen okra. But got to have fresh mater's, cucumbers and squash from garden. Almost forgot hot peppers.

I’m a huge fan of canned veggies. Old glory collard greens from DG are a staple at Hunting camp

Bush beans are horrible, all of them.
Campbell's makes the best canned baked beans.

Dustin, I really like the Margaret Holmes seasoned turnip greens, and her seasoned baby Lima’s!

Yes it is, tastes as good as homegrown and a whole lot easier and cheaper.

The words canned and goods together is an oxymoron. Fresh=good, canned= will do if fresh isn't available. Beans can fairly well but some things like asparagus and brussells sprouts from a can won't do.

Kidney beans and BBQ sauce with a layer of pepper is fine with me.

Back in the early 80s Clinton, AR went thru a flash flood on a Friday night. All the downtown businesses went under about 10 feet of water. This included the biggest grocery store in town. By Saturday afternoon the flood water was gone and cleanup began. I volunteered to help dispose of canned stuff from the grocery store. Everything in the store was condemned since the sewers had flooded into the floodwaters. Once my 3/4 ton Chevy was loaded I'd get in the convoy of trucks headed to the county dump while following a National Guard escort. The place that I had rented was right on the highway headed to the dump. I'd leave a couple dozen cans in my truck and head back for another load. On the way back, I'd pull into my place and drop of all the cans I left on the truck. I ended up with about 200 cans of food.......all with the labels gone from water saturation. Suppertime would be interesting for some months to come as we opened mystery cans not having any idea what would be in them smile

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.
