gave the vintage #8 Griswold cast iron skillet a ride on a one-pot meal Saturday w/the girls ... recipe: http://www.kevinandamanda.com/spicy-sausage-pasta/

super simple to prepare & make; we chatted & think next time we'll just opt to get some Italian seasoned pan sausage & use that instead of the turkey sausage (although i thought it tasted fine, my picky eater didn't care for it much)

yup it was destroyed by us LOL โ€” the end of the recipe calls for โ€œbroilโ€-ing of the cheese on top to crisp it up & man that was the best part!! ๐Ÿ˜‚

yes sir; this recipe came from an Americaโ€™s Test Kitchen cookbook - ordered it yesterday since normally all their recipes are spot-on ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป

Thanks for sharing. We tried it this weekend, used conecuh instead of the turkey sausage . Good stuff!

I bet that dish would be off the chain if you took those Johnsonville Sweet Italian sausage brats and grilled them and then sliced them when they cooled off. I might have to try that one weekend.

HECK YEA it would!!! and that's really a GREAT idea b/c the dish, as the recipe is written, doesn't really know what it wants to be when it grows up - Mexican? Italian? it don't know -- so your idea to swing it more Italian is a real good one ... let me know how it turns out!!!
