There's a trolling motor repair place in Tarrant, or at least I think there is. I'd bet you could get one from them. Maybe somebody will know the name of the place that I'm talking about.

Replace that sucka with a Minnkota. i've owned them all (Silvertroll, Shakespeare, RAM, Motorgude and Minnkota), now minnkota is the best going. I loved my first 24 motor, it was a Silvertroll, It could be a hand or foot controled motor. They were owned by a big Corp. It went bankrupt and took them with it.Ram was owned by Mr Twister and was a pretty good 24. Shakespear was one of the first with a 24.

I think I’m gonna start selling pot to subsidize by fishing habit. You might consider that. You could upgrade your TM if you do.

I have a brute on my boat too. I was able to order parts online for it. I just googled Motorguide Brute 67. If I remember correctly the parts came from iBoats
Maybe boats.com

DN, the only thing that I missed about Motorguides is the weight difference. The Minnkota are so much heavier. When fishing and moving a lot it can wear you out. Yes, they are spring loaded, but it;'s still heavier than any Motorguide I ever had. Funny, I never had a motor go down. I loved having 36 volt motors too. I never got hung up on a sand bar or stump with the 36. It is a pain keeping 4 batteries up tho. Keeping 3 is bad enough. (crank, 2 toling) I had 24 volt Minnkota. It had plenty of power and that ended my 36 volt days. overall, I had fewer problems with the Minnkota. it seemed after the MG got several years o,d I was always having switch or other electronics problems. One word of advice, don't cut corners, even if you have to save a little longer. Gette one you want. If you don't , most likely you'll have regrets and end up with what you want later. After you end up losing money getting rid of the first one. I speak from experience. I can't list the times I've gone thru this.
On another note, have you seen that Kayak idot pushing a $1000 tolling motor battery on youtube? He's fishing out of a kayak that cost less than that.. It kills me to see guys thee fishing out of a cheap kayak and they have 3 or more GoPros worth probably $500 ea, The kayak is keeping you alive! DUH!

Post an ad in the Gleem, we'll have them lined up around the corner.

The minnkotas now are lighter deploying and pulling back up and you aint even got to step on them like those dang motor guides. Bar none minn kota has been and is a way better unit. No issues at all for me since I made the switch 6 yrs ago

I don’t know how hard my MK would be to raise or lower. It does that for me. I want one of those...I like the remote self deploy feature. Makes launching buy yourself much easier. Just be sure to turn it on!
