for the 1st time since 1990 ive joined a hunting club. my little hunting spots have dried up on turkeys and losing my honey hole in chelsea. i had to do something.
i had a few things in mind looking for a club. 1st it had to be within a hour of the house, so i can hunt during the week. 2nd should have turkeys or historically have a good population.
they didnt offer turkey only memberships.So I should be the perfect member, deer hunt a couple of times but during turkey season from tuesday thru friday i will be there every day.
Saturdays thru monday i should be in the national forest.

Hope it treats you well. Anything could change at anytime, but I have some of the best times hanging out at camp. Especially with friends during turkey season.

I got in 2 new clubs this year. All 3 of the !eases I've had for years got clear cut in the last couple of years so something had to give. Clear cut turkeys are the devil. Pretty sure one will be a one year hit cause it's not quite what it was presented as, the other is one of the prettiest places with the most sign I've seen in a while. Just hoping to avoid the club drama.
