Great season for the Tiger baseball team. Hope the guy that came from Auburn to Bama can duplicate their success.

Congrats fellas. Tough way to lose one but at least you were there and went down swinging.

central ala,
I'm anti-,Auburn but Hal Baird made me at least respect him and Auburn baseball. This series was the best Auburn has played that I've seen since then. Auburn showed tremendous heart in some tough situations. That Daniels pitcher did a phenomenal job last night getting Auburn calmed down. He made pitch after pitch. Auburn just never could get Florida in those tough spots to see how they could handle it. I don't believe in being proud of a loss but those Auburn players sure can rest knowing they have giving it their all and everyone else recognizes that. Those players are spent mentally and physically today.

Analyze one game, one play, one pitch all you want. But they scored 2, 3, 2, in three games at UF after scoring 40 in three games in Raleigh. They were streaky scoring runs all year, and I mentioned it in the other thread as something to watch for. Every aspect of the game was solid all year other than offense, and that’s why they are not headed west.

Auburn played a great game. After AU took the second game, FL was desperate and knew it was going to be a dogfight. That faking falling down stealing second play is like the fumbleroosky. It's a gimick play that teams use when they are desperate and dont think they can score in traditional ways. Overall, I thought either team could break it open and win it at any point last night. I was rooting for AU to win. Still a good season for them though. They went further than a ton of other teams did. That Daniels kid they brought in had the game of his life and worked his way out of a lot of dangerous situations.

As far as offensive production, a whole lot of that has to do with the caliber of pitching you're facing.

Name of the game is to score. No matter if it looks "gimmiky or "desperate". It was strategic and paid off..

Georgia Football..Acts like Bama but has a trophy case like South Carolina.

I don't think it was a desperation play at all. When a team gives you an opportunity you take it. High stress situation, left handed pitcher, executed to perfection. One of three things is going to happen. A) They score the guy from third as they did last night B) Pitcher balks and run scores. C) Pitcher steps off and catches runner on third.

Some games you hit 6 home runs, some games you have to bunt to scrape 1 run. Part of the game.
