Ok, so we are starting a hunting club that looks to have some well established food plots. I would like to go about it the correct way(especially if it will save us a little money) with soil testing, lime, and fertilizer. My question is if the soil test comes back and says you need x nitrogen, y phosphorus, and z potash, who do you get to mix that blend and how much does it cost? I know this is a broad question but just wondering if anyone may have some examples

Any idea on cost? I assume it is cheaper than buying bagged fertilizer

No gonna be cheaper since you won’t be waisting fert but still gonna cost close to the same unless you have great soil that doesn’t need anything.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Soil test wont tell you anything about nitrogen because it changes so quickly. I use bagged fertilizer because of the convenience and I have smaller plots. I use 0-46-0 for the p and 0-0-60 for the k requirements and 34-0-0 after it gets up about 3 inches. I apply the nitrogen when its dry preferably before a rain, let the dew dry before applying to avoid any burning of plants.
