Danica's stats:
With Stewart-Haas Racing in NASCAR:
— She never finished higher than sixth in a race.
— She never finished higher than 24th in the season standings.
— She led only 64 laps — out of 53,561
— In 5 years with Stewart-Haas, her teammates won 22 races, Harvick won the Cup title in 2014 and Kurt Busch won the Daytona 500 in 2017.
Then she lost sponsorships and basically had to retire. Her ride was given to Aric Almirola — who has had five top-10 finishes in 12 races compared to 191 by Patrick, and Almirola is 10th in Cup standings.
In IndyCar:
Started with Bobby Rahal's team, which was coming off winning the 2004 Indy 500. She later moved to Andretti Racing, one of the best in open-wheel.
-- Only twice in seven seasons was she the highest-finishing member of her team in the season standings. That's just her team, not the overall IndyCar standings. During her five years with Andretti, Patrick had one victory — in Japan, in a field of just 18 cars — compared to 15 trips to Victory Lane by her various teammates (and a series championship for Dario Franchitti in 2007).
She was a middling to back-finishing driver who got attention because she's attractive and raced against men. There are no women in NASCAR, only one in IndyCar (Pippa something) and none that I know of in Formula One. John Force's daughter is succesful in NHRA drag racing and I think there may be 1-2 other women in the top tier of drag racing, but I'm not certain.
Penke's overall success in auto racing darn sure is hard to beat in any sport. Perhaps the Steinbrenners, as noted, or possibly Kraft and what he's done with the Patriots in however many years he's owned the team.

I turned on the NASCAR race, wherever it is tonight, just to see what's going on. Charlotte, I guess.
Heard an announcer say something about "only three laps to the break" and I remembered they've started putting in breaks and such. Run x-number of laps, take a break, etc.
Eighty-seven laps to go. I've seen maybe a dozen or so. That's enough for me. Boring.

And Toyota takes the top 3 slots at Charlotte tonight. I thought Darrel Waltrip was gonna choke when Gordon was talking Toyota up.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Nascar and wrestling. Both winners are decided before the match. Nascar is more boring than golf.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

Least in wrestling you see a mistake. Watched rose win the fort worth golf tourney which used to be the Nelson tourney. The announcers sounded more excited than Fox's nascar announcers.
Only hits count.
