Whats the lastest that you would plant them? Our land floods pretty bad and it has just now dried up enough to get a disk in the ground, but with the incoming rain it will more than likely put us at the end of June at best getting something in the ground.

Since you aren't trying to make a crop it really doesn't matter. You are only planting to provide food that will help the deer and get them accustomed to eating on your property. I broadcast soybeans and corn with the iron clays. If you want to save money, plant feed grade seeds. Just seed heavy.

Life is too short to only hunt and fish on weekends!

I’ve planted iron clay peas anywhere from early May til the first week of August before. Obviously if you’re trying to benefit your deer then planting earlier is better but there’s plenty of time to plant.

Wish it was hunting season.....year round

I would like to plant now but if you tried to get a tractor in our fields now you would probably be calling 2 wreckers. 1 for the tractor and 1 for the other wrecker. Our entire lease will be under water.

IRON clay peas can be planted anytime
I usually plant a mix of ironclad peas, sunflowers
and sorghum during April.
BUT this year I'm going to plant soybeans after the 4th of July.
I'M hoping they make it and last on into bow season.
Maybe I will get lucky.

Better have some big ass fields or they gone in 3 weeks.
