Sweet! Man i need to bring my boat home from camp lol. My boys would love catching a limit on Specs, and battling some reds...
How many people am i willing to sacrifice for freedom? Everyone. All of them...
Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

Looks like a great trip. We had a decent trip on Saturday. Everyone was out of shrimp by the time we made it to the launch and pogies were in deep water. Managed to find enough for the kids to use and one caught the winning slot redfish in the Christ The King tournament, so it was a good day.
Congrats on some good fish. I want to know where I can find these charity tournaments down there. I don’t care about winning anything but I love a little friendly competition for a good cause. Shirley’s had bait at 1pm and went back for more around 3:30 pm and they still had plenty. . We caught the croakers ourselves. I believe artificial would have worked fine but I don’t change from a pattern that I find working. My buddy came on the boat rigged with a 1/0 j hook and I was using a size 8 treble. I threw 7 in the box in very short order to his none. He changed his hook and Started catching. I don’t know why they were that picky but they sure were. We had 12 when we ran out of skrimp went and grabbed more and finished the limit. We threw back maybe 6-8 legal trout waiting for 18”+ on the second bait round. We saw a few birds diving around us and very few pogies flipping no where near how it usually is.
