Thought it was pretty remarkable that this team has won back to back state championships after losing the first round game both years. Winning it all is special. Winning from the Losers bracket is really special.

Awesome achievement anytime you run through the losers bracket. Especially beating the winner bracket team twice. Back to back years is very special, those girls have some determination.

Fairhope won 7A this year after losing their opener to Prattville. Have former teammates on both Fairhope and Prattville.

No, but I've drove my daughter through 5 or 6 states 9 months out of the year doing it and spent too many hours on a bucket catching for her at lessons, games and camps. While I haven't played, I've been heavily invested in it from a time and money standpoint. And would do it again in a heartbeat.

That's a lot of one on one hours many parents never get to experience with their kid...

Man that's awesome! It's tough to win out of the loser's bracket, especially after losing the first game and doing it two years in a row, wow! G.W. Long had a great season as well. They won the 2A baseball and softball championships this year. They played Mars Hill Bible in both championship games. It was their first fast pitch softball title and fifteenth baseball title.

CESEAST, you beat me to it there. Long's boys actually won the 1st game of their series with Mars Hill in 11 innings with a 9th grader pitching by one run then blew them out in the 2nd game. Only have 3 seniors on the team and only 2 are starters. The girls were down 7-1 in their with Mars Hill and then their bats got hot and wound up winning it 13-7. Should be a GOOD time at the athletic banquet tomorrow night!!
