Looking to buy some 1"angle and 3/8" or 1/2" pipe for a inside kennel project. Got a heck of a 8 month old male gsd pup that is a nut at tearing up crates when left alone from boredom. This joker is at the high end of the spectrum compared to my 5yr old female which has been a hell of a dog on the field and in real word everday life. He gets worked multiple times a day mentally and physically but to no end he likes destroying crates/kennels. Got to love a high driven pup/dog. Have a great feeling that he will be able to compete at a regional level and possible national level in schutzhund and after his ipo3 he'll be put on a suit and see where we can go from there. He's just all go and no stop which is how i like it when it comes to working dogs/sport dogs.

Gamble Steel in Gteenpond. They will make any cuts you need for a small price.

KGS off 459 at Morgan Road is easy if you are South of Town.
Sounds like you could get what you need at Home Depot or Tractor Supply though.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

I build dog boxes out of EMT conduit. Can weld it with a lite welder or a torch and brazing rod. I usually frame it out with 3/4" it runs around $5 for 10' and for the uprights I use 1/2". With a plywood top, you could build a large crate for less than $50.

For a lot of projects I use bed rails when hunting for angle. Hit the thrift store a bed frame any size usually 10-15 dollars and you get plenty of steel. Yep. I never pass bed rails on the side of the road.

With a plywood top, you could build a large crate for less than $50. I thought about using emt but I'm not to keen on welding galvanized plus it'll be powdecoated after each panel is fab'd up. Also didn't know how/or if it'd effet the powdecoating to be able to stick. Once out of the powdecoat shop the panels will be bolted together in place. Emt is great for a lot of projects and actually going to use some for a potable blind design with parachute material. Thanks for the idea.
