Whose kits do you recommend? Palmetto looks kinda cheap, and there are videos on Youtube showing them having problems. I want to build a good pistol, not junk. Thanks.

Mine is an Essential Arms lower from krotz springs. Not sure of the price as I bought it from another officer. I can tell you I've had zero issues with it and it goes from work unit to farm truck to tractors to 4 wheeler to boats. Also maybe check with Daniels LLC in Lafayette.

There are a lot of people who have built more than me, but I have built a few, always on the cheap. I have no problems with the PSA rifle kit I put together. It seems fine, and I've had no problems at all with it.
My wife wanted a lightweight AR and I finished putting one together for her last weekend. I like it a lot more than mine and will buy some of the same parts for mine that I put on hers. The most surprising thing about her build for me was the lightweight barrel from Bear Creek Arsenal. I got it for $80 from ar15discounts.com. Fit and finish looked great and I was holding 2" groups @100 yards just propped up over the golf cart. And that's with a 3 moa red dot with no magnification. The company was great to deal with too. I had ordered the wrong size gas block and they called me to make sure that's what I wanted instead of just shipping me the wrong stuff like most places would have. Might want to check them out also.

I've also used A LOT of PSA stuff with no issues. Also, used a lot of DEL-TON INC with no issues. I've never used either, but Outdoor Sports USA, and CBC Industries have some good looking kits. CBC is veteran owned and operated, seem to be good folks when I talked to them getting my dealer account set up. I just haven't needed any parts after getting my account established so I don't know what kind of quality they do or do not sell

aeroprecision lowers they make alot of the stuff for top of the line companies just different roll marks and Id probably use RockRiver match national match lowers parts kits. buy the upper already assembled i personally like LMT for all my uppers aero precision sells complete 8" 300blk uppers for a little over 400. if you want top of the line id look at BCM their complete 300blk uppers will run around 800 but itll run like champ throw it on a lower that may cost you 150 to build and youll have a rifle that will handle anything you can put it through.
