Just shoot both and go with what feels best. Without fan boy type comments it's really on you. They're both good bows and I don't think you'll go wrong with either one. Look at the descriptions and see if one bow offers more things you're looking for in a bow. I like that my Bowtech draw length can be adjusted without mod/cam swaps and I've done it to both of my bows testing groupings and such.

Durability, longevity and resale value..... the Halon. Unless you’re still growing, the adjustability doesn’t mean squat.

If you like the feel of a longer bow you should shoot the Halon 32. 2in more axle to axle than regular Halon and with those dinner plate sized cams it feels more like 34in ata. I've shot them both and I like the lighter weight and speed of the Bowtech but prefer the feel of the Mathews cam during the draw. Resale value may be a little higher on the Mathews but I think you'll be happy either way. Both are really nice bows.

Yessir! I’m always gonna shoot what makes me happy and I want everyone else to do the same! If you shoot one be proud of it and don’t worry what anyone else thinks. - SJ22

Adjustability means a lot to people that don't want to spend extra money changing draw legnth... Its hard to sell a 29" draw bow to a guy with a 28" draw if ya can't just swap it. I've sold a couple bows strictly for that reason. I still say what's more comfortable shooting.

All you have to do is swap mods on the Halon, so that negates “adjustability” makes it’s easier to sell. The Halon will be easier to sell because it says “Mathews” on the limbs. That’s just a fact.

If you like the feel of a longer bow, you need to try a Halon 32. If you like that Bowtech, then by all means get it. If you like both the same, I’m giving you and honest opinion on which to go with and why. I’ve set up thousands of bows for people and know a little bit about them.

What I meant saying adjustability the fact that you don't have to have a bow press or have to use shims to shim the cam to adjust the cam lean. The Bows I'm looking at are used and they don't have a 32

You won’t have to “shim” the cam on either. Don’t know where you are getting that from. To manipulate the cam lean on any compound, the bow would need to be pressed.

Think I'm gonna go with the Matthews. talking about Shiming the cam I was talking about for paper tuning the BowTech has upper and lower yolks to fix Ieft right tear all I have to do is put a Twist in the left or right yolk. With Matthews I would have to change the top hat bushing

I have yet to run up on a Halon that has required me to change the top hats around.

Maybe I missed something when a friend was dealing with a draw legnth change.... Don't the mods cost xtra money or does the bow come new with them like Martin bows?

It comes with one set of mods. You have to purchase additional ones. They are $40 for a new set and used ones can be found easily for $25. I’ve never had a problem selling a Mathews bow, even the solo cam versions that required a cam change to adjust the draw.

What ever you feel more comfortable with unless you are planning on selling it in 1-2 years then go with the Mathews
