It's been a request I hate to ask. But some of you might remember a few weeks ago when a group of my granddaughters softball travel ball team was involved in a wreck with a drunk driver and our prayers were answered cause everyone was ok. Well this morning one of our players and moms where in a bad wreck. They wound up upside down in a creek and the mom has bumps and bruises. But the sweet little girl is fighting for her l. She was unconscious under water for about 10 minutes and her lungs filled up with water. The outlook is not looking good. Please pray for Kayden Russell and her family that God's hand be on her and heal her. Thanks prayer warriors ahead of time.

Yes she was in a car with another family in the first accident but wasn't hurt.

Better news this morning. Kayden's body temperature is back up and they have gone from 85 percent oxygen down to 50 . Not out of the woods yet but headed in the right direction.

Not really much new but they are very happy with her progress. She may have the tube removed as early as today. All signs are pointing to a very positive outcome on the neurological side as well. I will help keep the thread uptudate also. I didn’t get to see her today but will be back tomorrow tomorrow and periodically through the week.

I’ve known her since she was born we just don’t get up there to see them as much as we use too. We hope to change that this year. That’s luke side not her mothers side don’t want to be associated with her.

She's had a great day! Giving thumbs up to her dad. Still making leaps and bounds above what the doctors were expecting. She was doing physical therapy her dad told her she was doing great and she said " I love you Daddy". So heck yeah she is doing great. Still have a long way to go but she is headed in the right direction.

Did they pull the ventilator? This morning when I left at 10:30 doc hadn’t come and she was still out and they thought maybe tomorrow they would remove it if she got everything out of her lungs.

No sir not yet. Luke said maybe tomorrow. She still has a little yucky stuff in the lungs.

I tell y'all something......this latest, awesome news will bring tears to an old man's eyes. The power of prayer and the will of that child to overcome is amazing! More prayers going up.

Wiley it does bring tears to grown men. Like when we decided to tell the team. Those little 11 year old girls crying, hugging each other then deciding to go on and play cause that's what Kayden would want. Writing her number on their arms, writing her name and number at the pitchers mound and batters box. They shown how much they care about each other. These girls go to church once a month with each other. They showed me that I need to get my act together for sure by showing how strong their faith is.

Luke said they whooped the piss out of the team they were playing after they found out.

Been quiet the past day or so this morning they came I and said lung X-rays looked better!! So going to drop her breathing machine back down throughout the day do some breathing exercises tonight and hopefully if all goes well pull the breathing tube in the morning!! Keep the prayers coming

Last update needed but it’s a great one. Kayden made it home today unfortunately it was with the cunt who wrecked and left her in the car to drown in the first place. Please continue to pray but for her father to get full custody as soon as possible.
