Anyone load for the 357, if so what are you using?
If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

I been running 296, h110 with 125,140 and 158
16gr 296 with 140 xtp 19gr 296 with 125xtp 19 gr h110 with 110 gr Speer hp
Following the book and staying a 1-1.5gr or so below max, some of those loads have some potency with them. No pressure signs or flattened primers. I haven’t had a chance to run them through the chrony yet. Shooting them through a s&w 686 6” barrel.
If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

I have been working with 2400 using 158 grain jacketed bullets. Was at the range last year trying to hit clay pigeons at 100 yards, pretty fun acutally.
But who prays for Satan? Who, in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most?

Unique AA5 for lead bullets,BlueDot for faster stuff. Heads up, there was an advisory against blue dot in .357 magnum for 125 grain bullets.

Yep city_boy I've seen the Alliant warning on .357&.41 magnums. Blue dot is temp.sensitive but I've used it since 1988 to equal factory .357 velocity. The 125 .357 is hard on guns&shooters which is why S&W brought out the L frame and Ruger the GP 100. The upside of the 1450fps 125 load is it hits like Thor's hammer. Brazillons of bytes&ink spilled on "is the 9mil enough?" "Can I count on the .380 to save my bacon?" Nobody seems to disagree that the .357 125 stops fights like a bolt of lightning.
Only hits count.
