Which did you get? I have dukes and z-traps. They both work good but I like the push/pull trigger on the z-traps.

You don't have to do anything to prep DP traps. They're ready to when you get them.

As a kid I caught hundreds of coins with a hand drill, a nail and a dime. I sold them to a couple guys that raised coin hounds for training purposes for $5-10 each

How'd you do that? Drill into the base of a tree, hammer nail into hole at angle, then stick a shiny dime in the bottom of hole?

Exactly. I've used cut-outs from tin/aluminum cans, too...always used 3 nails, though.

Baited with marshmallows and corn. Gonna add some clam juice to the mix next time.

I am concentrating on our hog traps, creek crossings, and our deer feeders.

Some co-ops carry them. Online usually has good prices. Be sure to study up on the trapping rules. There’s some requirements in AL that you might not think of.

I’m hoping to do a little coon trapping this weekend

I bought my Z-traps from Flemings in south Montgomery county. Seems like they were around $12-$13 each maybe...….

Sorry guys, been busy.

I got the Dukes. I set them for 4 nights the first time and 6 the second time. Caught a total of 42 coons. Still haven't caught a possem in one.

I mainly set them around my hog traps and around our protein feeders. Did set a few on a creek crossing.

We trapped 6 more coons on the club and I called up a coyote in Dallas County last night. He didn't make it.
