What’s the going rate for a 55 gal drum of corn?

I can get it for $5 per 50 pound sack and there is about 6 1/2 sacks per barrel. I had rather handle a sack any day. A lot of places want $35 per barrel.

I haven't talked to many farmers planting corn this year. The prices have been low, but I don't think that will hold for this fall. I look for prices to really go up this fall. I guarantee you Matt will have the inside lead on prices for this fall. He will chime in shortly.

I can't stand a thief.

Not Matt but corn is more bearish than bullish. US stocks are really big. Barge freight may drag it up a little but it won't be much

What he said. Only thing that runs corn up is a 2 year drought in the Midwest. Yes it'll take 2 consecutive. Odds are that won't happen.

If we go from E10 to E15 ethanol/gas, the demand for corn-based ethanol will increase by about 50%. Most of the midwest corn is used for animal feed, high-fructose corn syrup, and ethanol.

Don't matter. The American farmer is producing way more bushels per acre than demand can take up.
