Boy id like to shoot one just to see. I have a rem 887 nitro mag with 3.5 turkey loads that hits pretty hard. Id like to shoot a 10ga in 3.5 if they make it just to see what its like. Probably ruin anything you try to eat though? i doult very much that my BPS 10ga will kick any where near as bad as you 12. i shot a H&R 10ga one time it had a weight made in it . heavy as hell but not a lot of kick . but then again most of my guns are a little recoil heavy .

Frankie is right they are heavy as all get out, but recoil is not as bad as you think it would be.

Those H&R single shots are heavy. The barrel weighs about 5 lbs and I've seen some with weights in the stock from the factory

Some of y’all need to quit tucking your wieners between your legs and act like men again My dedicated turkey gun is a camo H&R 12 gauge single shot with a 24" barrel. It is chambered for 3.5. I am about 6' 185 and i don't like shooting 3" turkey loads unless it's at a turkey. And I've got a big recoil pad on there. Joker kicks like a steroid raised mule. By all means if you can shoot 3.5's out of one whether it be a 12 or 10 gauge then you're more of a man than me. Maybe the 10 gauge kicks a little less since it's probably heavier but my little single shot is a relatively lightweight gun as it is. I'm not an expert on the NEF/H&R's, but from what I've gathered they're no longer making the single shot break actions. I don't think I ever saw one with an interchangeable choke but that doesn't mean they didn't make them. Mine is a fixed full and it seem to work fine for me.

The 10 is no where near as bad as the 12, and both of mine have interchangeable chokes.

They are no longer being produced. Some of the later guns had screw in chokes

I hunt with my H&R 12 gauge turkey gun and it weighs under 5 lbs. it will absolutely stomp you and if you're not holding on it will hurt you with a 3.5.

Every one I used to duck hunt with hated that 10 ga. About 2 seconds before the shot was called, I was coming up to shoot. I haven't shot it for years.

I have one that I won't ever be getting rid of. It throws a nasty monster of a pattern, but it is like carrying a telephone pole through the woods. Same here. It's the NEF single 10 in 3.5" with old school bottom land camo. With a jellyhead It's a beast but it's fun to tote
