[quote=Hevishot13] I'm not an expert on the NEF/H&R's, but from what I've gathered they're no longer making the single shot break actions. I don't think I ever saw one with an interchangeable choke but that doesn't mean they didn't make them. Mine is a fixed full and it seem to work fine for me. You are correct. They are no longer being produced. Some of the later guns had screw in chokes

I hunt with my H&R 12 gauge turkey gun and it weighs under 5 lbs. it will absolutely stomp you and if you're not holding on it will hurt you with a 3.5.

Frankie is right they are heavy as all get out, but recoil is not as bad as you think it would be. Frankie has been in the shine too long. A single shot 10ga kicks like a pissed off mule wish i had some good shine . lol My franchi AL 48 20 ga kicks harder than my old bps 10 ga with 3.5" loads. Every one I used to duck hunt with hated that 10 ga. About 2 seconds before the shot was called, I was coming up to shoot. I haven't shot it for years.

I have one that I won't ever be getting rid of. It throws a nasty monster of a pattern, but it is like carrying a telephone pole through the woods. Same here. It's the NEF single 10 in 3.5" with old school bottom land camo. With a jellyhead It's a beast but it's fun to tote
