Should be enough green out for him to get full. Something seems wrong.

Looks like something is wrong with him. I had a young buck on camera a couple years ago that looked that one. Coyotes eventually took it down.

Thinking the same thing. It's everywhere now days.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Why does he still have antlers? All the bucks at my place excepy one little spike dropped theirs from 4 weeks to over two months ago. I have one buck with 3" velvet nubs right now.
good point. There ain't much wrong if he still has antlers. A sick/injured buck will always shed his antlers early.

That's in Wilcox Co. Several bucks still carrying both in recent pics. Seems odd to me as well.

There is no logical reason for any herbivore to be in that poor condition at this time of year. He's diseased or injured. At this time of year every natural food he's eating is thriving.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

I have an older buck on my property that looks at least as bad as that buck. He is not sick or injured. He gets access to all the food he wants. He looks like this every spring, post rut.

Is April 2 all that late for a young buck to have not cast antlers in LA? April 1 is when I will start looking. A few years ago I went through a plot on March 15 turkey hunting and found nothing. April 1 I went back and found 6 in that plot. For me that many in a plot is unusual but it set a time for me to start looking. This date has held true for me with the vast majority on the ground by April 1.
