I'm looking into doing a caribou hunt. Has anybody been on a caribou hunt and have suggestions on a good outfitter?

It's been awhile but I booked with Jack Hume. No complaints, would do it again.

Sig Sauer, to hell and back reliable.

Whatever suits you just tickles me plum to death.

Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

Some of the islands on the Aleutian chain are loaded with them. A boat that I was on anchored in a bay on the back side of Adak for three days, and I helped those Coasties skin and pack about 25 of them.

Which sub-species are you wanting to hunt?

I outfitted for Alaskan Barren Ground caribou for several years. I also book hunts for a number of outfitters that hunt the other huntable sub-species.

When are you wanting to go?
How many in your group?
Budget?
Etc?

We shot them in St. Paul. Its really not hunting. Its spot and shoot, plus they call them reindeer.

I've hunted Arctic Islands Caribou out of Cambridge Bay in Nunavut. Hunted Quebec-Labrador Caribou and seen Woodland Caribou while in Newfoundland. If I was gonna do only one caribou hunt, then I think it would be Mountain Caribou.

How many in your group? Either 3 or 4 of us. Everyone experienced hunters, but never hunted caribou.
Budget? Hopefully stay within $5,000-6,000 each. Is that doable?
Etc?
