When I figure it out, I'll write a book and get rich.
Then I'll figure out women, and write that book too.

Too many hens, too much hunting pressure.

Out of the 4 mornings I've been out this season I've heard gobbling on 3. The only time I didn't hear anything AT ALL was opening morning. The last time I was out was 2 weeks ago and I had 3 gobbling--at my 9, 11, and 3 o'clock at varying ranges. Might be shut down now though.

Had one gobbling his head off at 0545 this morning then it got light and nothing again. Couldn't get to him he was on private land.

I sure do wish I knew, I'd have slept in the last two days. The same ridges you could hear 7-10 birds last week were completely silent. But I'll be there in the morning just in case lol.

They been gobbling since the first of February. Probably tired of it. All the hens around here went to nest and the gobblers have started to bunch back up
