Well I'm hunting like the tv guys today. A blind decoys and a bow right now the cows love me. Got my shotgun in the truck just in case. Got 3 gobblers staying in my uncle's pasture all the time gonna give this type of hunting a whirl. They been gobbling hard makes it difficult to sit here. But I would have to piddle if I went after them.

Should have. Tractor in pasture with me now. I think I'm done.

Covered 2.2 miles to get within 400 yds of a bird wearing it out for him to shut up.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Beautiful morning in Bibb by no gobbles. Across 1500 acres you literally can’t walk 10 feet without seeing a turkey track and I have not heard a gobble in 3 mornings. Seen a gobbler or two but no gobbles. I’m not a cold calling set up Hunter. Just not gonna do it. Damn tight lipped bastages.

Back at the office now. Only covered 2.5 miles this morning and I did not hear a thing. However, I did get the heart rate up when I almost stepped on a covey of quail! Looked to be about 10 birds and they flushed 6 feet from me.

Had one gobble 3 times just north of the property line. Set up about 150 yards out and never heard him again. Caught 2 hens in the clear cut and kept them within a hundred yards or so for almost an hour but no gobbler ever showed up. Walking the edges now hoping to get lucky and see one. Gotta do something to get warm. I dressed a little too light for this wind.

Seemed like today there should have been some birds just hammering. I couldn't tell you though because I'm not in the words. I'm ready to hit the woods again. Just give me a day that is somewhat calm and some time. I'll find one. Haven't been early in the morning in 3 weeks. Helping my Fiance' move, weather sucks during the weekends, and work...I'm going this weekend.

Once again sat and watched a tom strut for 3 hrs on a bench with a couple of hens at about 80 yds.
