Y'all I've got a problem this year. The "can't seal the deal" syndrome. Rain, snakes, i can't call worth a crap, too loud, too tall, mofo crazy, he saw me, too slow, running late, wrong side of creek, wtf i don't know.

This morning - Got 3 different gobblers yelling their heads off until 8am but no dice. crazy

Could not move from my position. Hung up at 150 yards.

Somebody send help.

I feel your pain, it happens. I 've killed well over 100 turkeys and was regarded as a full blown turkey thug. I went from successive years of limiting out about 2 weeks before the end of season to couldn't kill one if I ran over it with an 18 wheeler. Sometimes life just ain't fair

At least you're hearing birds. I think I'm hearing one about once every 5 or so hunts. Out of all the turkeys I've heard this year I think I've been in the game maybe twice and blew both those opportunities. SW7 and I tried again this am and heard nothing but wind.

I’ve only sat down on 3 gobbling birds this year so I feel your pain. It’s been a horrible year heard a lot gobble way off but just can’t find a bird to work.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Just keep after them, you'll find a 2yr old that's ready to mess up eventually! smile

I haven't been as much as usual but I've only heard two gobbling birds this yr and one was too far off property to do anything with him... I have gotten good at the waiting game over yrs and kill a lot of silent, drumming, or clucking toms... 75% of the non-gobblers have been 3+ yr olds.

I feel ya. And I'm with you Ron. Although I haven't hit the century mark, I somehow ended up with a reputation of consistently killing them for years. The last few years, it's almost gotten to the point I avoid certain folks at church during turkey season now cause I'm being asked if I've gotten my limit! Lol. Heck, I've only heard 6 turkeys in total in 14 hunts this year and 2 of those were on one hunt. I figure I'll just keep going and maybe the turkey gods will reward the efforts of this ole hunter eventually.

Too funny Doc. Preacher asked me what my problem was a week or so ago. Without a doubt this is the most frustrating season I can remember. I don’t mind not killing one if I have a good hunt. Only set up on one bird at daylight and fortunately he died but I’ve had some sunny still mornings that I have not heard a gobble.

It’s nice to hear others are struggling this year. The last 2 years it seemed like I could do no wrong in the turkey woods. I guess I’m paying for it this year. Not trying to brag but I’m covered up with birds and still can’t get it done. It’s really frustrating.
