A big congratulations to Justin Allen and his dog Juice on obtaining his FC title in the open last weekend. Juice is the only dog in history to ever have titled both as an FC and a GRHRCH. This goes to show that great breeding and hard work pay off. I remember running Maggie with Juice in the Derby's and he is one awesome dog.

is this the dog name Performance Enhancing Drug call name (JUICE) if this is the same dog I have one of his pups we are training to run a field trial or 2. Congrats to all involved that's a lot of work!!!! Same dog. FC GRHRCH Franchise's Performance Enhancing Drug http://www.huntinglabpedigree.com/pedigree.asp?id=33086Juice is a hell of a dog and Justin is a hell of a trainer/handler. I remember watching juice as a puppy and we all knew that dog had something special in him. Juice had a minor set back early on. Broke a back leg or tore up a knee. Can’t remember which, anyways, Justin brought juice with him over to Jbateys house to watch a ball game and juice jumped right through the screen of a screened in porch. Cracked us all up, juice must not of been able to see the screen but the leg issue didn’t slow him down. Lol Congrats Juice and Justin!!

Just depends. I know they'll pull several hundred semen straws on dogs like this and bitches will be welping their litters for years after their dead. I'm not sure the work that goes in ever gets compensated, but its a lot of money.

I appreciate it Jim. Those derbies seem like just yesterday. Honestly I wouldn’t mind being back there, that was a a lot more fun than the All Age. It varies a lot. Juice is at $1500 for natural or frozen. What is the stud fee for some of those dogs?

Juice has pretty much paid his way the last few years. My training bill runs around 11-1200 a month 10 months a year. Fortunately for me he got popular when he was super young and I’ve been able to keep him in training with his stud fees for the most part. He has been in training the last 3 years 10 months per year. Before that it was off an on while we were working on a lot of his hunt test training. If I campaigned him hard for another 2 years I’d be pushing $100k easy. I’ve got a smoooth 40 in training fees over the course of his life already and probably another 20 in entry fees and hotel, travel expenses. Had he not been breeding the way he has I would have never been able to do what we’ve done. The money is crazy and It’s a demanding game. If you want to be competitive that can be the only thing in your life. 18-20 weekends a year your on the road chasing trials and points. I’m glad the monkey is off our back that’s for damn sure. Juice will be my one and only All Age dog unless I win the lottery. We will try and qualify for the national in November and after that he will come home and lay on the couch and chase ducks with me. He’s done all he can do. Just depends. I know they'll pull several hundred semen straws on dogs like this and bitches will be welping their litters for years after their dead.
